1. POSSESSION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES OR CONTROLLED DANGEROUS SUBSTANCES.
It is a violation for any LSCC&CA member, family member, guest or assignee to be in possession of any alcoholic beverage or controlled dangerous substances on the properties or facilities of the LSCC&CA. Any member or nonmember found to be in violation of this rule shall be prosecuted to the full extent of the law in addition to paying a fine and suspension of lake privileges, for an amount and time frame to be determined by the Board of Trustees.
The Board shall be permitted for social events or upon the request of the LSCC&CA member, family, guest, or assignee to issue a permit for the use of alcohol beverages on the properties and/or facilities of the LSCC&CA.
2. HOURS OF OPERATION OF THE FACILITIES AND PROPERTIES OF THE LSCC&CA.
The facilities and properties of the LSCC&CA shall be open from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM with the exception of lake functions.
Any member found to be in violation of this rule will be subjected to a fine and loss of privileges for an amount and time frame to be determined by the Board of Trustees.
3. VANDALISM.
Any member, family, guest or assignee to be found to have vandalized or damaged the property and/or facilities of the LSCC&CA . shall be prosecuted to the full extent of the law in addition to paying a fine and suspension of lake privileges, for an amount and time frame to be determined by the Board of Trustees. Any cost incurred by the Lake Association for the repair of said property will be charged to the violator.
4. DUMPING.
Any member or non-member discovered in the act of dumping or having dumped any type of material on or in any Lake owned property including Lake owned dumpsters shall be prosecuted to the full extent of the law in addition to paying a fine and suspension of lake privileges, for an amount and time frame to be determined by the Board of Trustees. Any cost incurred by the Lake Association for the clean-up of said material will be charged to the violator.
5. NO MOTORIZED VEHICLES ARE PERMITTED ON THE LAKE, BEACHES, BALLFIELD, OR DAM.
Only registered and insured vehicles are permitted on Lake owned parking areas. Violators will be prosecuted. Any member or non member discovered riding a motorized vehicle on the Lake, Beach, Ball field, Dam, or other lake property, without the expressed permission of the Board of Trustees or it’s designee, shall be prosecuted to the full extent of the law in addition to paying a fine and suspension of lake privileges, for an amount and time frame to be determined by the Board of Trustees.
6. OWNERSHIP OF INFLATABLE SWIM FLOATS/TRAMPOLINES
Ownership of Inflatable Swim Floats (raft type)/ Trampolines by the Lake Association or by any member of the Lake Association is strictly prohibited. Anyone placing an Inflatable Swim Float/Trampoline in the lake will be required to remove the same at their own cost and expense. (Membership approval, November, 2003)
SWIMMING AND BOATING RULES
For your safety, good health and continued enjoyment of Lake Stockholm, the following Beach, Swimming and Boating regulations will be enforced.
BEACH AND SWIMMING RULES.
1. Current lake badges must be worn and visible at all times.
2. No dogs permitted on the beaches, or designated swimming areas.
3. No alcoholic beverages or glass containers allowed on the
4. No ball playing on the beaches or in the water. This does not include inflatable beach balls.
5. No horseplay, jumping off rails, or standing on the end of the slide.
6. NO CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 10 YEARS OF AGE PERMITTED ON THE BEACH UNLESS ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT. PLEASE NOTE THE NEW STATE MANDATED SIGNS – WHEN A LIFEGUARD IS NOT ON DUTY, PERSONS UNDER THE AGE OF 16 MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT – NO SWIMMING ALONE.
7. No boats permitted in the swimming area.
8. No fishing from swimming area.
9. No swimming across the lake or beyond the rafts.
10. The lifeguard is in charge of the beach and is responsible for policing the beaches. PLEASE REMEMBER: They are not baby-sitters!!!!!
11. Respect the judgment and the experience of the trained lifeguards. Follow their advice and don't interfere with the performance of their duties.(No socializing with the lifeguards.)
12. A dues paying member cannot lend badges to a non-paying member
BOATING RULES
1. Current lake badges must be worn and visible at all times.
2. No gas powered motors allowed on the lake.
3. Electric motors are permitted on the lake, 40lb. thrust maximum.
4. No boats are to be left on the beaches overnight.
5. No boating in the swimming areas
6. All boats must be off the docks by October 30th. Any boat left after that date will be removed and locked up: the owner will be assessed a Fifty Dollar ($50.00) fine.
7. All boats whether in the water or left at the dock must display the member’s lake badge number for identification.
8. Any vehicles used to launch or remove boats must be removed from the beach area
ICE FISHING RULES
When winter is upon us we ask that you abide by the ice fishing rules, as there are often small children skating on the lake, so the size and location of the ice fishing hold should be as stated in the Rules so as to ensure the safety of all concerned.
1. Fishing shall be restricted to the lake members and their guests only. Badges must be worn at all times.
2. A limit of five (5) tip-ups per member’s lake badge number, in good standing, will be in effect and strictly enforced.
3. Members are reminded not to cut any unnecessary holes.
4. Fishing shall be done at a reasonable distance from the shore line to permit access by skaters, and so as not to interfere with their skating.
5. Fishing boundaries will be confined from the dam area to the house at the point on the far side on the lake.
6. The hole size limit is nine (9) inches in diameter.
7. The limit on fish that can be taken out of the lake per day, per home, is Two (2) trout, Two (2) bass, three (3) pickerel. There is no limit to perch or bluegills.
8. Any member found violating these regulations will have his or her ice fishing privileges revoked for the remainder of the season.
9. Members are responsible for violations of their guests
10. State mandated licenses are required for anyone over the age of 14.
These rules and regulations are for the benefit of all our members, please do not be offended if someone questions an activity or requests to see a lake badge.
GUIDE LINES FOR GAS POWERED MOTORS AT OR NEAR THE WATER
1. Operator must be at least 16 years of age.
2. Gas up before coming down to the beach – No gas cans on the beaches, lake or parking lots.
3. The Association is not responsible for injury to person or loss or damage due to equipment.
4. The Association is not responsible for supervising the use of said equipment and/or activities.
5. After use, the machine must be immediately removed from lake property.
6. After using the augers to cut the ice fishing holes, remove the auger from the ice and from Lake property.
7. ABSOLUTELY NO RECREATIONAL USE OF MOTORIZED VEHICLES ON THE LAKE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ATV’S OR SNOWMOBILES.
